Creative Internships :

Following the success of the Creative Internships Programme in its first 4 years, A&B Cymru is delighted to announce that the scheme will run for a 5th year from October 2017.

The innovative scheme which places recent graduates into not for profit arts organisations as trainee fundraisers, will once again operate across Wales.

Applications are currently being invited from graduates and arts organisations who wish to participate.

In 2017/18 the Creative Internships Programme has 2 strands.
Strand 1 :
For arts organisations employing at least one full-time experienced fundraiser.
Each intern will be a new graduate who will :
** undertake a 10-month, full-time, paid placement with a not for profit arts organisation.
** receive a pro-rata salary of £15,000 (£12,500). A&B Cymru will provide up to 85% of this amount (£10,625).
** Receiving organisations will be asked to contribute the remaining amount and pay the National Insurance, as well as any necessary pension contribution.
** receive structured support from the participating arts organisation, including mentoring from a senior fundraiser.
** receive structured support from a specially selected business mentor.
** have free of charge access to all A&B Cymru training courses in fundraising and business skills.

Strand 2 :
For arts organisations employing less than one full-time fundraiser.
The interns involved in this strand have already completed a Strand 1 A&B Cymru internship as trainee fundraisers.

Each intern will:
** undertake a 10-month, part-time (3 days per week), paid placement with a not for profit arts organisation.
** receive a pro-rata salary of £17,000 (£8,500). A&B Cymru will provide up to 60% of this amount (£5,100).
** Receiving organisations will be asked to contribute the remaining amount and pay the National Insurance, as well as any necessary pension contribution.
** receive structured mentoring support from a professional fundraiser.
** receive structured support from a specially selected business mentor.
** have continued free of charge access to all A&B Cymru training courses in fundraising and business skills.
